COVID19 Service Update

In line with current government guidelines we have now made the following changes to our processes:

Dispatch Timelines

To allow for changing post collection times, any orders received after 9am will now be dispatched the following working day.   All of our postage is prepaid and we leave the bags at the door for our postie, so it’s already no contact.

Delayed Delivery

We are not currently able to offer a delayed postage (nominated day) shipping option.  It’s incredibly difficult to estimate arrival dates currently and so to avoid the risk of a parcel arriving later than expected, all orders received will be dispatched the next working day if ordered after 9am.  We will continue to add “Not to be opened before…” notes to the outside of parcels though, so please feel free to use this to let us know what date to add to the “do not open until” message.

Free Shipping Upgrades

To make sure your orders reach you and your loved ones as quickly as possible we are upgrading all standard delivery orders to the  RoyalMail24 (1st Class) service  or Hermes 24h at no additional charge.  RoyalMail are prioritising Special Delivery and 1st class items and in the majority of areas, items still seem to be arriving within a few days.  However, we have had some feedback that it may take a little longer in some areas so please allow up to five working days for deliveries.  We ask and thank you for your patience during this challenging time.  If your order has not been received after ten working days of the expected date, please get in touch via [email protected]

.Safety

We have been packing all orders using biodegradable gloves since social distancing was introduced and will continue to do so.  We continue to sanitise packing areas and hands throughout the day.  All social distancing guidelines are being adhered to strictly. 

Whilst we will continue to monitor the situation, we thank you for your continued patience and understanding during what is currently a very challenging and changeable period.  Thank you for supporting a small British business.

  

Normal Delivery Costs and Timelines

We now offer four delivery options:

  • Standard Delivery is charged at £2.75 to the UK Mainland and Northern Ireland.  Items will be posted by Royal Mail 48 service which takes 2-3 working days for delivery.
  • Express Delivery, if selected, is charged at £3.75 and your order will be sent by Royal Mail 24 service, which takes 1-2 working days for delivery.
  • Next Day Delivery, if selected, is charged at £6.95 and your order will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm service, which will arrive the next working day Monday to Friday (when ordered before 1pm).  Please note, if using this service a signature will be required by the postman on delivery.
  • Next Day Delivery Saturday, if selected, is charged at £10.95 and your order will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery Saturday Guaranteed service, which will arrive the next day including Saturdays (when ordered before 1pm on Friday).  Please note, choosing Special Delivery without the Saturday Guarantee may mean your order is not delivered until the following Monday.   A signature will be required by the postman on delivery. 

Orders received after 11am (UK time) will be posted the next working day (Mon-Fri). 

We do our absolute best to make sure it arrives on your preferred date, but as we rely on Royal Mail to deliver our parcels, we cannot 100% guarantee it will arrive on the indicated date.  

Incorrect Delivery Addresses

If you have made an error in the shipping address, please get in touch with us straight away. We can make changes before the gift has been dispatched. After dispatch we cannot make any changes to the address or track the item.  We cannot accept responsibility for an undelivered or lost item caused by an error in the shipping address.

 

How will my gift be packaged?

We wanted the unboxing experience to be part of the gift experience itself, so we take great care in packing our gifts and make them look as pretty as possible!  

First we put recycled tissue paper and cotton ribbon in the box, the contents are carefully arranged and packed in with recycled shredded paper to protect them and make sure they arrive looking perfect.  We add little touches like flowers or a message card to the box. The tissue paper is sealed, the ribbon tied into a bow. Everything is wrapped again in the brown paper. The address label is placed on the box. Some additional decorations are added.
